Pre-Vegas

Wow we have been on hiatus from the blog world for a while. Well in approx 48 hours we will be in Vegas and single which could be dangerous haha. I (Kristy) will try and not say “I DO” to any drunken strangers no matter how thick my beer goggles become.............well this could be the only chance I get hahaha.  Anyways when we return we may just tell you about it but you know what they say about what happens in Vegas ;).

"Online" dating catastrophe

Soooooo yes the online dating experiment proved to be quite enlightening and disasterous all at the same time. We started with the potential "perfect" girl profile, you know skinny blonde adventurous slut type without a profile pic..................3 pages of perverted messages in 24 hours, man you sluts don't have to work too hard haha. It was amazing how many guys continually messaged us after no response or being verbally shut down for example after one guy sent us a pic of his ugly discolored little I guess you could say dong and us replying with "I want that as far away from me as possible" he still continued to ask when we were free. So after a few days we decided to put a profile pic up of a so called unattractive female type and still the perverted messages didn't stop however we did get quite a few funny ones regarding if the picture was real lol.  Lets face it ladies at one point or another we all have a scratch that needs some good itching but seriously men, does "I wanna stick it in ya" work at ALL for ya???? Us ladies aren't interested in a creepy stranger hiding behind a screen we know absolutely nothing about or the goods they carry. 

Lets face it if we have a scratch that needs itching that bad, we know how to do it our selves. The most interesting discovery was the fact that both of us at some point have had a serious profile of our own on this site and how many guys that had messaged us personally also messaged our fake girl with the exact same lines hmmmmmm you guys are real choosy.

So because we didn't want to be man haters we also made a "perfect" man profile (we did not respond to anyone on this one) and well it took a while before we got some interest. However the interest that we recieved was FAR more serious then our girl profile and FAR less frequent. We will admit we did get a couple perverted messages from women but lets just compare the 2 to a mouse and an elephant, or a mole to a mountain, blade of grass to a tree take your pick.

So what this experiment taught us about online dating was:
1. Men on this site don't really seem to have a standard just any women that responds will do
2. Men are far more inclined to ask for intimate encounters without any class, whatsoever then women are
3. There are far more available men then women............but no good men so beware ladies free online dating is full of scum bags

We do know some people that have met great partners from online dating but lets face it they're the exception. The ones who are actually serious about meeting someone don't stay on those sites long.

Who are the Single Mommas?

Well lets see moi Kristy I have a 5 year old amazing son and have been a 100% single mom the whole time. Trying to......well even thinking about dating again after having my son was awkward and it took me till he was about 1 1/2 to really try it again (you know something about breastfeeding and lactating on the first date makes you feel super sexxy). Anyways I've dated had a serious relationship that didn't work out and it's hard to continue the search for my forever man (pending he even exists) after continuous let downs but I think it takes alot of courage to put yourself back out there and let someone into your heart so hopefully this journey brings some lessons learned and farther along the path to my invisible forever man haha.

So I'm Laura and the sunshine of my life is my adorable four year old baby girl.  After having her i looked at dating a whole different way...i dated for two not one which has equaled well lets say....like zero real dates...yup thats right zero.   I had a brief or glimpse into a relationship last summer and when he dropped the L bomb and the fact that he never wanted kids in the same 24 hrs ...lets just say that might have confused me.  So now im getting creative and thinking outside the box cause what ive been doing the last ten years is way past a fail!! so hopefully this leads me to a decent guy or atleast some funny stories about dating douche bags along the way!!

Well you fine people out there feel free to share any advice or tips where we can find some hot date.......or just some funny stories. Stay tuned for later this week when we reveal our "online dating" experiment it's a gooder

Happy Mothers Day

Just wanted to take a moment to wish all you mommas out there a happy mothers day. We have the most wonderful, difficult, and most rewarding job in the world :). I know our kids often drive us nuts but I'm sure I speak for all parents when I say they take our breath away even more and are more than worth it. I know for me mothers day is a day I take some time to reflect on myself as a parent and spend some quality time with my child.

Introduction

Soooo this is our first time blogging, but after bouncing back and forth with some funny and not so funny dating stories we figured there's got to be more single mommas or parents that can relate to the chaos of trying to date with children, or just dating in a small town in general.

Let's start by introducing ourselves, we are 2 single moms age 25 and 27 and both have been pretty much single since the babies popped out.....literally. It was like "baby I love you lets have baby" BAM there's baby and then another BAM daddy's high tailing it outta there and you got yourself a single momma. So our kids are between 4-6 and dating the last 4-6 years has been well lets just say interesting.

We have tried the online dating and met ourselves some "creepers". we've tried the friends through friends and well lets just admit it when it doesn't work out it's just down right awkward. We've tried strolling the grocery stores and people stare but lets face it......no one talks in person anymore. So this blog is to share some funny stories and try some new dating techniques, we're thinking of hittin up Home Depot and experimenting more with online dating and see where this road takes us. Stay tuned for some good past stories and I"m sure some future gooders to come ;)
